Woah been so busy lately!

Firstly, I got a job!
It's at Eternal Beauty and I sell this cosmetics face lift stuff that's really really good.

I did a photoshoot yesterday at ACP (Australian Centre for Photography) on Oxford Street, and had 2 lovely models and one lovely photographer.

Got another one today... going to be 30 photographers there!

Still haven't got the pics from the last couple of shoots.... wish they'd hurry up haha, I want to see those pics!

Anyway, off to get ready for this shoot!

I did the makeup for a photoshoot last night of a glamour-queen packing for a holiday to/around Australia. I had a beautiful Model Stephanie Jeanes http://www.modelmayhem.com/ and a lovely photographer named Ruchika. The shoot was so fun, pics will be in my hands in a couple of weeks.... can't wait that long!

I'm also excited about the free travel from Sydney to Coffs Harbour (6/7 hr drive) for the TAFE Awards on the 6th June, where I've been hinted at that I'm recieveing a MASSIVE award, so stay tuned!

The most beautiful movie my eyes have ever seen!
There is a simple storyline somewhere in amongst all the delightful colour, ornate cakes, huge flower arrangements and over-the-top outfits. I know I'm a little late to see the movie, its been out a couple of years now. But it was $10 at Borders - and I just cannot refuse a bargain! Enjoy some pictures from the film:

Covergirl Pressed Powder in 140 Natural Beige

I absolutely cannot bring myself to buy expensive powder - I go through too much of it too fast. I thought I'd branch off Maybelline and try Covergirl. This pressed powder has an alright fragrance, and makes my skin velvety smoooth.

Pretty good for $14.

For those [un]blessed by typical teenage skin, whose eyeliner doesn't stay on all day, requires touch ups, melts off your face all together - never fear! It's time to ditch your lame-o pencil liners and opt for liquid liner!

If your nervous about applying liquid eyeliner - don't be! It's not as hard as you may think, and plus there are heaps of different types of brushes and pens available for easy application and your eyeliner will stay on all day. Serious, it wont budge.

I have typical teenage oily skin - nothing stays on it.

At the end of the day, I am left with an almost bare face - but lovely eyeliner (:

Impulse Buy of the Day:

Yay I bought a giant pink glass diamond today! It's from a nice gift shop at Chatswood Westfield. I've wanted one for ages, not sure why, but I'm so glad I have one now haha.

Fiction book I'm currently reading:

"The Longest Trip Home" by John Grogan
(the guy who also wrote Marley & Me, if you haven't read it yet (no, seeing the movie doesn't count) then shame on you)

It was on sale at Target for way less than half price, but I have no idea why because so far this book is just as good as the last one.
I am a complete sucker for bargains, so naturally I bought the book, having no clue about what it was even going to be about. And I'm so glad I did. I won't give anything away right now, but I suggest you borrow it, buy it, google it, whatever.
Trust me it's worth it.

So anyway, I'm doing the makeup for a Fashion Shoot on Saturday, so excited because I've been so damn busy lately I haven't had time to do a shoot for ages (: Stay tuned for photos next week!

Nailpolish-A-Go-Go

Goodmorning everyone! Just a note about nailpolish!

My favourite OPI Nailpolish is Conga-Line Coral, from the South Beach range:

I treated myself to a (bloody expensive) manicure a few weeks (okay like 2 months) ago at a Beauty Salon in Hunters Hill, Sydney and fell in love with its rich orange-rose colour. GORGEOUS! And it made me look so tanned haha.

Well the other day I was in S.A. Hair and Beauty (45 Market Street, Level 7) buying these.....

haha, for a fashion shoot (that never happened grr) and I went along to the huge range of Nailpolish (they stock mainly OPI and Creative Nail Design) looking for my fave coral shade, but couldn't find it (so bummed). So I found a similar coral colour in the Creative Nail Design, it's called Gypsy-A-Go-Go (#330), and took it home.

(worst pic quality ever- but its the only one i could find!)

It wasn't until yesterday until I finally had some time to paint my nails. I'd heard somewhere that CDN Nailpolish takes ages to dry... well they're not wrong. I did 3 extremely thin coats of it... and i reckon it's still not dry haha. Oh well, the colour is still lovely though (but not as good as OPI).

As you may know, I'm a sucker for anything Chanel, so I bought these as well, for my ring fingers, or anything really haha. Love it.

Flowers & Life

I just found out I like photographing flowers! Too bad i start this new love affair as its nearing winter - and all the plants are starting to wither haha.

Here are some photos I managed to get the other day, some flowers are half dead/eaten and others are still showing signs of life. I enjoyed working with what I had. And the animals roaming around the backyard (: I know they're not the best photos you've ever seen in your life, for me, they are just simple and full of joy.

I love books! You should have sussed that out by now. My favourite bookstores are ones that don't just sell books, they offer maybe a cafe or art supplies in the same vicinity. I love spending hours there, reading, touching, browsing and tasting the atmosphere, the coffee, the warmth, the art and the books. Especially if it's with my boy.

Here are my top 4 book stores at the moment:

1. Borders (Rouse Hill, Chastwood and Parramatta are my fave locations - but Borders is everywhere) for it's huge selection of books and Paperchase stationary, the smell of my Latte and bargain tables.

2. Berkelouw Books (Oxford Street, Paddington and Newtown) for its sweet selection of new and second-hand books, stationary and cosy atmosphere. The coffee shop is also a plus.

3. Modern Times (King Street, Newtown) for it's range of art supplies, gift books, journals and books with brimming with art and culture.

4. Ariel Booksellers (Oxford Street, Paddington) for it's classy selection of books (it's where I bought Chanel: Collections and Creations), and also for it's quirky books and light atmosphere. Best visited at night.

A few days ago I wrote that MYER was forwarding my resume to Revlon... well a Revlon representative called me today and said I have an interview!

It's on the 2nd of May and I'm sooo happy.

I also have a job interview at Napoleon Perdis (sigh) tomorrow.

And I'm supposed to be doing the makeup for a photoshoot tomorrow... but the girl hasn't got back to me so i.d.k w.t.h is going on there >:(

I also won another TAFE award - Student of the Year and I'm still waiting for the results of National Excellence award :)

I bought the book 'Beauty in Bloom' by Natalie Bloom (Published by Allen & Unwin 2008 RRP $24.95) today for my Mummy for Mothers Day (10th of May - don't forget!) and let me just say that it is the most BEAUTIFUL book you will ever see.

Its full of stunning illustrations, the ribbon bookmark is pink and there is pink glitter accents on the cover.

It just could not get better!

You must buy it for your Mum! Trust me, she will love it.
